BROYHILL WARDROBE

This piece was found abandoned along the side of the road.  We grabbed it without hesitation and got to work restoring this vintage bureau with a chic, modern twist.  We started with an alluring blue, grunged lightly with some black wax.  Modifications were made to the original design by removing the bun feet and replacing them with chrome plated steel legs.  Modern square silver knobs in sets of twos replaced the drawer pulls.  My favorite part of all, are the drapery finials that create the large-scale hardware on the door panels.  Different shades of metallic wax bring out the details on the doors.  This piece captures the edginess of our Tangent Style design without overshadowing the original’s warmth and detail.  Its bold look is one of our favorites and the flagship piece of AH4 designs.
