MALACHITE DESK

Bob custom painted this piece for one of our amazing customers.  The desk was first base coated in a deep graphite shade and then a special technique was used to create a gemstone-like appearance.  He used a mixture of blue and green chalk paints, but didn’t completely blend them.  Instead, while the paint was still wet, Bob scraped a piece of corrugated cardboard through the colors to create the distinct hues and texture of this unusual finish.  It turned out so beautiful!
