TIFFANY EPOXY TABLE

tiffanyepoxytable.JPG

Some time ago I found these over-sized poppy decals and fell in love with the Tiffany Green color similar to the boxes used by Tiffany & Co. for their jewlery. I wasn’t sure at the time what I would use the poppies for, but knew I had to have them. Then this adorable apartment-sized wooden table with white legs happened to find me. The idea of black and white polka dots kept nudging me. The evolution began and took all sorts of crazy turns until finally the idea took form. The layers of epoxy were the most challenging. Each application added a layer of depth, color, glitter, marbling and veining achieved by adding colored pigments and metallic powders to the epoxy pour.  Each layer adding more character and interest.  Gold leaf was applied to the edges of the table top for a raw look. The legs on this wooden table were chalk painted and distressed. Decoupaged polka-dotted wrapping paper along the sides of the table complete the classy yet slightly edgy look.
